ABOUT US

The first platform to embed structured, AI‑guided inspection workflows into field catastrophe claims.
Who We Are

A Powerful New Way to Control the Chaos

Built for the Hardest Claims in Insurance

Catastrophe AI was created to solve one of the most difficult challenges in insurance: to be the first platform to embed structured, AI‑guided inspection workflows into field catastrophe claims.

Earthquake losses alone have produced more than $3 billion in insured damage in recent years (*with no major, seismic events in the US in over a decade), yet the industry still relies on inspection processes that vary widely depending on the experience of the individual inspector.

We believe catastrophe response should be structured, intelligent, and field-ready from the first inspection.

That belief became Catastrophe AI.

Stacy Butler Executive Vice President

Stacy brings over 25 years of hands-on catastrophe claims experience, leading field teams through some of the largest and most complex catastrophic events of the past four decades. She has trained and deployed teams across earthquake, hurricane, and other high-volume peril events, ensuring inspections are performed accurately, defensibly, and ethically.

As the architect of Catastrophe AI’s AI-guided inspection workflows, Stacy combines her deep field expertise with technology to create real-time, structured guidance for both seasoned and first-time catastrophe inspectors. Her focus is on human-first intelligence, making sure AI enhances judgment rather than replacing it, and that inspections are consistent, thorough, and empathetic to policyholders.

Stacy is also a featured thought leader at PLRB and industry conferences, sharing actionable insights on boots-on-the-ground readiness, claims strategy, and training for catastrophe teams. She ensures Catastrophe AI is not just a platform, but a practical solution built for the realities of the field.

Why Now?

  • Catastrophic Response Image

    Designed for Catastrophe Response

Catastrophe AI was built for the realities of catastrophe claims—where thousands of inspections must be performed quickly, accurately, and under immense pressure.

Our leadership team has worked some of the largest catastrophe events of the past four decades. We know what happens when field teams are forced to rely on inconsistent methods, incomplete documentation, or insufficient training during high-volume claim events.

Catastrophe AI embeds decades of catastrophe expertise directly into the inspection workflow.

Through AI-guided inspections, structured data capture, and real-time guidance, the platform helps field inspectors perform complex evaluations with greater consistency, defensibility, and confidence.

When catastrophe strikes, carriers need more than boots on the ground.

They need intelligence in the field.

  • EQ Map

    Why Now

Three forces are reshaping catastrophe claims:

    1. Increasing catastrophe losses

    2. Growing complexity in property inspections

    3. The need to rapidly deploy new field inspectors

Catastrophe AI was built to address all three.

(NOTE: Everybody is afraid of the next big one and nobody is prepared. It fills a gap. This is a HUGE gap. A gap in skill, experience and a system needed for these specific earthquake claims. We wanted it in one place - beginner to expert, seasoned expert in other perils and makes them a seasoned expert in a short time, compliant, needs from carriers, regulatory, making it defensible and compliant in California - the highest standards in the country.

  • What's Next?

The platform launches focusing on earthquake response, with additional catastrophe perils planned for future releases.
